Janine H. Burns is a non-denominational Wedding Officiant and an Interfaith Chaplain. Ordained in 1988, she holds a Doctorate of Divinity degree from Emerson Theological Institute. Realizing the need to provide services to those who call themselves “spiritual, but not religious” and to those who didn’t belong to a particular church or temple, Janine returned to school and in November of 1999 earned her Interfaith Ministry credential. As a full-time Interfaith Chaplain for the Guiding Light Foundation, Janine often conducts Celebration of Life Memorial Services along with funerals and presides over Baby Naming Ceremonies.

Dr. Janine is a popular workshop leader who gives inspirational lectures and seminars nationwide teaching Meditation Made Easy, Compassionate Communication and Practical Spirituality. She is certified in Transformational Breath with the focus upon Stress Management. She is also certified in NY State as a Court Mediator with a concentration on Peaceful Conflict Resolution.
Janine is also available as a Spiritual Coach and is passionate about helping you shed your limiting beliefs to experience greater peace of mind, ease and joy in your day to day living.
Dr. Janine “loves to do weddings” and in her spare time volunteers for Spray It Forward and enjoys playing badminton and going boating.

Karen Gigante is a non-denominational Wedding Officiant and Interfaith Minister who received her Ministerial Credential from the Emerson Theological Institute. Karen is honored and happy to assist couples in creating a ceremony that makes an important statement about who they are and their commitment to one another. If you would like she can also add to your ceremony reflections on your personal spiritual values.
Karen provides spiritual counseling and performs Baby Naming Ceremonies and Celebration of Life Memorial and Funeral Services. She serves as a Staff Minister at the Center for Spiritual Living Long Island and presents classes and workshops on Practical Spirituality.
As the owner of Sacred Spaces, a Decorative Painting Company, Karen has an eye for beauty in all things. For the past 18 years she has had the privilege of faux finishing walls, ceilings and furniture in some of the most beautiful homes on the Gold Coast of Long Island and beyond. She is expert at refinishing furniture and bringing vintage pieces back to life.

Kathleen Caputo is an ordained Interfaith Minister. She serves as Staff Minister and Director of the Junior Center at the Center for Spiritual Living Long Island. Rev. Kathy enjoys working with people of diverse cultures and faiths to realize their creativity and life’s potential. She has conducted workshops at Fashion Institute of Technology, City University of New York, and the New York City Public Schools.
Having more than 30 years experience as a business executive, Kathy brings her attention to detail to your wedding ceremony and combines that with warmth and humor. She is committed to making your special day peaceful, joyous, memorable and fun.
Rev. Kathy is a certified Stress Management Consultant and regularly provides spiritual counseling. She is also available for Celebration of Life and Funeral Services and Baby Naming Ceremonies.

All of our Associates are trained in providing positive prayer and teaching basic meditation skills and stress reduction techniques.
The Associates of the GLF offer Spiritual Coaching as well as Wedding Ceremonies, Celebration of Life Memorial and Funeral services, Baby Naming Ceremonies along with other special ceremonies.
